The dentist Dr.P.Ananthram has been practicing in the same area for the past 20 years. Previously he practiced in one of the opposite shops and later shifted on to this building 9 years back.

Waiting Room

On entering the door, the patient enters a well decorated and maintained waiting room with a receptionist at one corner. The waiting room is spacious and has well planned interiors. It has a capacity of accommodating upto 11 people inside it. Benches are there even in the balcony. The waiting room also has a television for providing entertainment. Several magazines are available starting from comics for children to magazines on various knowledgeable topics. On the receptionists table a few pamphlets are available and displayed which help in educating people about the basic oral hygiene techniques. A display board is also there on which interesting articles regarding dentistry are displayed on one side, which have been extirpated either from newspapers or from magazines and on the other side if the board interesting thoughts are displayed. The whole waiting room is carpeted and well maintained. It is well ventilated with adequate light and air.

Operatory

This clinic has two operatories. One main operatory where the doctor sits, has one dental chair. In this room, there are shelves against two walls where all the instruments, materials, etc. are stored. There is a television in this room also. This room is well ventilated and spacious. There is an X-ray machine in this room.

The second operatory is where the assistant doctors work and there are two dental chairs in this operatory. One of the chairs has an ultrasonic scaler attached to it. There are shelves in this operatory also.

Lab

This clinic has a small but clean and well maintained lab. It is here that they do the developing of X-rays, mixing alginate, mixing dental stone, etc. On one side of the lab is a board to which all the impression trays are hung. In this place they also store casts and appliances of all patients.

Auxillary Personel

There are 3 assistant dentists who have done B.D.S. One doctor comes in the mornings and the other two in the evenings. There are two lab assistant boys who do the cement mixing, mixing alginate, developing X-rays, Sterilizing instruments, etc. They are also being given training on making complex dentures, partial dentures and other procedures.

Patient Input

The patient input is good with an average of twenty patients per day. This doctor also treats patients from ITI and BHEL.

Water Supply

The clinic has an overhead tank of 500 litres capacity. Thus this ensures 24 hour water supply without any problems. Every chamber in the clinic has a wash basin and a mirror.

Light Facility

The clinic is very well illuminated during the evenings. In case of any power cuts, they have a generator.

Hospital

The nearest hospital in around 0.5kms away on the same road.

Sterilisation

The instruments are sterilised in a steriliser for atleast 1/2 an hour. They use disposable glasses for each patient and also disposable syringes. The doctors use non-latex disposable gloves and before each patient rinse their hands with an antiseptic and antibiotic solution.

Waste Disposal

All the wastes are disposed daily. They dispose it into the corporation dustbin after collecting iit in disposable bags.

Rest Room

The clinic has a rest room at the end, inside the main operatory. There is a bed in the rest room for relaxing. There is a mini library in this room. There is a toilet attached to this room.
