Amidst sea of consultants, occasional boards of Family Physicians are seen now-a-days. One such set up is Ashraya Clinic functioning at Satellite Town or New Town, Yelahanka, Bangalore - 64.
The clinic was established way back in 1985, by Dr.K.S.Mohana Rao, with the aim of giving primary health care to the then upcoming area of New Town, Yelahanka. After completion of his medical qualification Dr.Mohana Rao had a stint of service in a mission hospital (St. Stephen's Hospital), Delhi and also in Southern Railways at Bangalore. The doctor also has successfully completed a distance education course in Paediatrics from IMA, AKN Sinha Institute, Delhi.
The doctor was a panel doctor for ITI for last 10 years. Presently the clinic is authorised, for treatment of central Government employees, BEL and HMT from last 8 years (including central Silk Board Employees).
It is purely a consultation clinic, serving the people at a nominal fees. Nebulization for Asthma patients and emergency care for a few hours is available in the clinic. The doctor has contacts with nearby laboratories. for all necessary investigations. For specialised investigations the hightech labs in the city are also linked. The doctor has contacts with consultants with top corporate hospitals for refessal purposes.
