New Horizon Public School was started in the year 1973. It is recognised by the Government of Karnataka.
A Group of devoted and dedicated teachers, philanthropist and eminent people dedicated to uplift the society by imparting best form of education started an English Medium School under the banner of New Horizon Public School at Chandra Layout, Vijayanagar, Bangalore - 72, from Lower Kindergarten to 10th standard.
The school is housed in spacious building well ventilated and situated in a healthy atmosphere. ICSE syllabus is adopted for primary students and State syllabus for high school students.
Almost importance is given towards sports and cultural activities like group games, physical exercise, excursions, trekking, inter school quiz & debate, painting, dance, fancy dress competitions with an intention of bringing out the hidden talents from the child's mind.
We have also excelled in training our students in latest language in computers. The school has been getting 100% results in 7th Std and 10th Std Annual Examination ever since its inception.
In the year 2001-2002 our school was declared to be one among top ten schools of Bangalore South based on our SSLC examination results by the Department Of Public Instructions Bangalore. We are proud to say students who had their education in our school have reached greater heights in various fields and have occupied better position in their lives.
Objectives
The chief aim of the school is to provide education through English medium to the children of Income Tax Layout, BHEL Township, Canara Bank Colony, Chandra Layout, Vijayanagar, Nagarabhavi, BEML Layout, Karnataka Housing Board Colony and surrounding areas. Special effort is made to encourage the children to develop their interest in studies, sports and cultural activities.
Admission
Admission is done according to availability of seats. However, the right of admission is reserved. Every candidate for admission must be introduced by the parent or guardian in person who will be responsible for the good conduct of the candidate.
Application for admission should be made in prescribed form duly accompanied by a Transfer Certificate issued by the last school attended. Original birth certificate in case of fresh admission.
Candidates seeking admission from other institutions should pass a written test conducted by the school.
The prescribed admission fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.
On all matters relating to admission the decision of the head of the institution is final.
Fees Tariff
The School fee is charged for all the twelve months of the year the monthly fee as to be paid in advance by the tenth of every month.
Fees for the month of September and October together in September, February and March in February, April and May together are to be paid in March.
Since the institution is unaided, the fees structure may be revised from time to time to meet additional expenditure such as staff increment, equipments, increase in building rents etc.
No pupil will be allowed to appear for the Terminal or Final Examination unless all the dues are paid up to date.
Special Fees like, Examination fee, Sports fee, Medical fee, Annual Day fee and Reading Room fee are also collected.
Under no circumstances the fees once paid will be refunded. Fee for the entire term has to be paid even if the child attends only a part of the term.
Staff
Teachers, who mould the student's lives and guide them to become responsible future citizens, form a very integral part of the school and also play a very key role. Hence great care is taken to provide the best faculty in terms of their experience, their teaching ability and the like. All the faculties are certified professionals with sound knowledge on the subject and good expertise and experience on the same. They are emphatic and sensitive to the needs of the students, as they guide them at various levels like their academics or Extra-curricular activities, which includes sports, painting, debates, inter school competitions.

Extra curricular activities form a very important part of a student life. They help in exploring the hidden talents of the students and exploit them to the fullest. Activities like various interclass competitions on dance, singing, painting etc are a regular feature in this school along with exposure to the students in the form of inter school competitions to broaden their perspective. We also have an annual meet which is organized every year where the students get to display their talents and also showcase it to their parents. Such activities enhance the overall personality of the students and keep them occupied, which in turn boosts their confidence level and help them take bigger challenges in life.
