N.G. Associates was founded by Mr.T.J. Das, Chief Architect of Karnataka (Retd.), and Mr. Krishna Iyer Ganapathy, Chief Architect of ISRO (Retd.). Although the majority of their earlier projects were residential and relatively small, the firm soon obtained two larger and very visibly non residential commissions namely, the buildings for Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology and the Chamundi Vihar Sports Complex at Mysore. More large commissions followed and with a few years of practice the firm received awards for dedication and technical innovations. Over the past 12 years the firm has grown steadily and major institution and renowned personalities have become clients. In addition to the residential, corporate, academic and commercial buildings, the firm has completed a series of major health care buildings, which has ultimately become a speciality. With the market recession effectively eliminating the commercial market, the firm has been fortunate to expand its institutional, housing and health care works, in progress throughout the country.
