The Ojus Concept
The concept of Ojus Healthcare evolved from the experience of its founder in managing the healthcare of defence personnel, aviators and astronauts - all of whom are required to be maintained in their peak physical and mental efficiency at all times. Ojus was conceived as the brainchild of Group Captain (Retd.) Dr G.S Nayar with a background of over three decades in the field of medicine. Ojus Healthcare came into being from April 2001. It started with a concept health centre at the Information Technology Park Mall, Bangalore, to expand into a number of Healthcare units all over Bangalore. Today, Ojus covers most places of Bangalore through its network and is looking at rapid expansion all over the country.

With over 32 years with the Defence Forces Dr. Nayar is a visionary, who believes in assisting the common man attain an optimum level of mental and physical fitness. By efficiently combining traditional and modern day medicine with information technology, Dr. Nayar aims to achieve healthcare that is extremely effective as well as affordable. During his tenure with the Defence Forces he was deputed to NASA, USA in connection with the Indo-US joint manned space mission project in 1985-86. He has completed numerous research projects for the Indian Air Force. He is also a member of various professional bodies, such as the Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine, Aerospace Medical Association, USA, Internet based Aeromed-List, Australia, Indian Association of Medical Informatics, and the Indian Society of Ergonomics.
Major S P Sreekumar MBA, Director-Operations
Major Sreekumar is an accomplished administrator with over 21 years of service in the Indian Army and 7 years in the private sector at senior management levels. An MBA from Delhi University, he is adept at business planning and development, marketing strategies and implementation, cash flow planning and finance control, client servicing, project management and human resource management including training. He is responsible for setting up and operationalizing Ojus Healthcare centres. He is also responsible for the Human Resources and Administration of the organisation.
Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Dr D K Gupta MBBS psc, Director-Business Development
An AIMMS '62 batch graduate, Dr Gupta joined the Indian armed forces in 1963 and spent over 38 years with the Indian Air Force during which he commanded hospitals. Dr Gupta was the Superintendent of the country's largest Command Hospital on two occasions. He has successfully completed the Defence Services Staff College course. After practising wellness management in the armed forces, Dr Gupta is now actively involved in implementing the concept amongst civilians.
