Sail training centre was founded by Smt. Hemamalini Prasad (M.A., M.Phil., B.Ed.) in the year 1997 on April 17th with just one trainee. Mrs.Hemamalini prasad has 20 years of experience in the field of marketing in a pharmaceutical company. This gave her progound knowledge of Interpersonal skills and during her stint in marketing she felt the need for a formal training in communication skills. She continuously worked on the success formula for effective communication while transacting with people. Her vision led to the launching of STC with the following objectivwes.
The objectives of Sail Training Center
- To impart the trainees and find basic skills of communication namely listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- To enable the trainees gain self confidence.
- To enable them focus on personality development.
- To help them acquire self expression.
- To facilitate mastery in spoken english.
The main advantages in this centre is that the trainees are encouraged to talk in English, and so the interference of mother tongue is elilminated. so far, more than 3000 trainees have passed out of the centre and the success is 100%. The centre has also offered its service to institutes like Sajjan Rao Vidya Samsthe, V.V.Puram, and Vysya Jigani. The centre has also trained some Koreans and Japanese. A school at Sira (Tumkur dist.) was immensely benefited by Mrs.Hemamalini Prasad and T.S.Prasad. in the areas of teaching methods, communication skills and personality development.
